EDITING EXPLAINED

Editing is the process of getting your music absolutely performance ready. Whether it is removing explicit words, cutting to competition length, slowing down or speeding up a song, or splicing multiple songs together. Whatever your needs are to get your music piece ready for your dance, acro, cheer routine, or public performance, Choreo Cut is here to serve you.

The most common editing that we do is a Basic Cut.

What is a Basic Cut?

A Basic Cut consists of a single song being edited to a certain length and given some basic treatments like fade outs, fade ins, hits to end the song quickly, one or two words replaced or removed, speed reduced, etc.

Example of a basic edit:

“I would like to use Poker Face by Lady Gaga for our dance routine. The song is 3:57, but we are only allowed to have a song maximum length of 2:30. Could you please cut 1:21-2:17, 2:58-3:30, and fade out a bit sooner so that we are under 2:30 total time. Also, “muffin” is too suggestive, could you do something about that? And lastly, could you slow it down by 3%?”
